Aravind Eye Hospital provides the highest volume of eye surgery of any hospital in the world and operates extensive community outreach programs, which reach over 2 million patients a year. The programs include over 1000 diagnostic screening camps, which are conducted with substantial community support. Aravind is particularly well suited to be Project Impacts partner, as it is the originator of a sustainable model of high-volume, high-quality eye care that has been established in a variety of sites worldwide.

The pricing and service delivery components of Project Impact initiatives are based on program elements integral to Aravind's success in eye care and blindness prevention and treatment. Aravind will assist Project Impact to set up service delivery sites for hearing aids within Southern India, utilizing its established network of community organizations and hospital facilities.
